My Training
My Story
I grew up in southwestern Ontario and moved to the Rocky area in 2010. I worked with the Wild Rose School Division as an EA. I currently also run my own day home where I currently live in the Caroline, AB area with my boyfriend and daughter and baby on the way. I have been here since May 2016 and still very actively involved with things in the Rocky Mountain House area. I have always had a strong passion for working with kids and babies which drove me to the doula journey. I enjoy baking, reading and spending quality time with my family and those I love.
My Philosophy
I chose Still Birthday Academy for my doula training as it is a internationally trusted organization with specialized training for those who experience birth and loss at any stage of pregnancy. My mission is I do(oula) and offer support for birth in any trimester and support in any outcome. If your birth plan goes astray, I never will. I serve with humility, and invest myself in the families I serve. I work with other local doula's, midwifes and other professionals for the best outcomes for the families I serve.
Rainbow of Hope & Faith Birth Services was created in 2017 after completing my training with Still Birthday Academy. I experienced my own loss in Spring of 2016 and in Winter of 2016 the opportunity to Train with Still Birthday was presented to me. I felt that was my time as I learned there were not many doulas local to Rocky let alone any trained in bereavement or perinatal loss which I experienced.
Rainbow of Hope and Faith are words that inspired me in hopes that everyone who may experience a loss will maintain the hope and faith that someday too their rainbow will come. My rainbow is on her way as this business was created and getting started. Rainbow of Hope & Faith Birth Services offers Birth, Bereavement and Postpartum support in any trimester, and any outcome of the pregnancy.
